About Us
Eleven years ago, when I bought Cherrie Baby, I was a Mum to five young children aged 5 to 14 and, as a farming family (we grow sugar cane and cattle), life was busy! I was also running an online store selling kids clothes with dreams of having a storefront of my own. In 2012, which was also the year my youngest child started kindy, the previous owners of Cherrie Baby announced that they were closing down the business, and that was my life-changing moment.
We were a team of three back then and stocked about 20 brands. While I loved chatting to customers in-store, my real passion was driving the online side of the business. I wanted everyone to be able to access all of the quality Aussie brands that we love for their children, regardless of where they live in the world.
We formed great relationships with some of our brands in those early days, particularly the team at Rock Your Baby which was already at Cherrie Baby when we bought the business, and we are proud to be RYB’s largest boutique stockist for several years now. Over the years we have welcomed another 70 brands to Cherrie Baby and have made many more wonderful friends in the process. These include much-loved Australian and international brands like Minti, Munster Kids, Bella & Lace, Huxbaby, Fox & Finch, Jamie Kay, Wilson & Frenchy, Crywolf, Toshi, Jellycat, BIBS Dummies and countless more.
Our Cherrie Baby team has now grown to 15 amazing women and they make it a joy for me to go into work with them every day. They share my values and together we are dedicated to giving our customers the ultimate shopping experience. We have built a loyal community of customers that have grown with us and we love nothing more than connecting with them in our Cherrie Baby VIP Group on Facebook, in-store or via our other social channels.
