Tis the season to be jolly!
I can’t believe it’s already December!
I will admit, we did put up our Christmas tree quite a few weeks ago.
We all put the Christmas tree up together, I did redo the decorations once Archer and Blue went to bed - I cringed when Archer put five baubles on one branch and all the same colour baubles on one side of the tree! I embraced the moment and loved seeing how happy Archer and Blue were but I couldn’t relax until it was perfect. Surely I’m not the only parent that re-does their tree?
Are you ready for Christmas?
I am really organised this year, I have a couple more things I’d love to buy for Archer and Blue for Christmas morning. Being two years and four months apart, they argue like they’re twins. They both want the same thing at the same time so I’m finding myself buying two of everything!
When I was pregnant with Blue I bought Archer a Miniland doll, we named him Billy and we used to play with him together in the hope that he would understand better once Blue arrived. It really did help, Archer would change Billy whilst I changed Blue. Archer would also try and breastfeed Billy which was so sweet! Blue now insists that Billy is hers, so I’m planning on getting her, her own Billy, so that’s one less thing they can argue over.
If you’re really indecisive about your younger childs main gift I really suggest a trybike! Archer has had his for three years now, he used it as a trike for two years and then we transitioned him onto the balance bike. Blue now uses it as a trike; it’s one of those toys that lasts, it’s so perfect to hand down. (Shop Trybike)
It’s crazy when I think back to Christmas time prior to having children. What did I do all day? To think we were just a bunch of adults sitting around, eating food and drinking cocktails.
One of my favourite things about Christmas is to watch peoples faces light up when they rip off the wrapping paper, I get so much joy from seeing someone ecstatic over their gift.
If you’d love some Christmas ideas I’d be more than happy do a vlog, from what to dress your little one in, to gifts for yourself or someone else.
I’d love to give you some inspiration.
Happy first of December!
