Never judge a mare by her name – Stormy is a thoroughly calm horse who often volunteers as a therapy animal, sticking her large chestnut head into retirement homes, homeless shelters & children’s hospitals to bring a smile to those in need. Unlike her feisty cousin, Thunder, Stormy loves ALL people & will cheerfully take them on lengthy horseback rides, cantering along windswept beaches or trotting beneath fragrant eucalypt forests. Stormy thinks this is a great way to bond with her human pals.
If you do welcome this gentle girl into your home, make sure you have some oats on hand as Stormy can’t get enough of them. Anzac biccies are a particular favourite but Stormy certainly doesn’t need Anzac Day as an excuse to gobble them up.
