Christmas | Big Hero Presents

Five kids later and I'm still not really sure what the go is with the "Santa present!" Should it be the big-ticket item, and then the stocking full of smaller items is from Mum and/or Dad? Or other way around??

I don't like the idea of Santa outdoing me AND I hate the idea that my child goes to school bragging about some extravagant gift that Santa brought him but the big guy only gave something smaller to his little mate. So, in our house, the big pressie comes from us. Here are some of the bigger items that our CB parents are considering this year.

Trybikes have been a no-brainer for some years now. Not only do they look the goods, they are made from steel so they are solid, and the ability to convert them from a trike to a bike when the time comes means that they will be ridden for several years.

We recommend these as a trike from about 18 months and then conversion can happen when your child is ready to make that step. With the convertible seat height they should be riding these until about 6. When they are outgrown they are such great quality that they'll be ready for the next child to love too.
