What is Air Toobz?
Air Toobz is an air-powered STEM construction toy by Fat Brain Toys that turns airflow into hands-on, open-ended play. Kids aged 3+ can build their own tube networks, then switch on a kid-safe fan to send colourful foam balls flying, hovering, looping and swirling through their creations.
By adjusting tube layouts and airflow speed, children naturally explore cause and effect, problem-solving, spatial reasoning and early physics concepts - all through play. Air Toobz is recommended for ages 3 years and up. Younger children may enjoy supervised play, while older kids can create more complex builds.
Air Toobz encourages creativity, spatial reasoning, problem-solving, experimentation, cause-and-effect learning, and early STEM concepts like airflow and physics.
A kid-safe fan sends air through the connected tubes, moving the foam balls in different ways. The airflow is fully adjustable using a large dial with LED indicators, allowing kids to experiment with low vs high speed to create hovering, looping, jumping or fast-moving effects.
The set includes 20 foam balls, straight and corner tubes, a T-tube, a silicone funnel, easy-fit connectors, a rechargeable fan unit, charging cable, and a reusable storage case.
Air Toobz can also be expanded with:
- Air Toobz Expansion Pack – adds extra tubes and connectors for bigger, longer and more complex builds
- Air Toobz Whirlwind Accessory Pack – introduces accessories that create spinning, swirling and vortex-style airflow effects
Base Air Toobz set required for add-ons.
No disposable batteries are required. The rechargeable fan runs for around 1 hour on full speed or up to 3 hours on half speed, with an auto shut-off after 15 minutes to prevent battery drain.
