One of the common issues that new mothers face after childbirth is perineal pain. The perineum is the area between the vagina and anus, and it can often become stretched, swollen, and painful after delivery. Perineal tearing and the need for an Episiotomy procedure are also common, as are pregnancy and childbirth-causing haemorrhoids.
Applying hot and cold therapy is recommended to help reduce swelling provide pain relief and speed up healing. It is also recommended to use hot and cold therapy on surgical wounds such as C-section scars.
